On Thursday, January 14th at 4:35PM, Commack Ambulance was activated for a motor vehicle accident with reported overturn at the intersection of Kings Park Road and Indian Head Road. Upon arrival, it was discovered that one person and one dog were trapped in overturned vehicle. Commack Fire Department and Suffolk County Police Department extricated the trapped patient and the dog. Under the command of Chief of the Department Al Groveman and Third Assistant Chief Joe Vollers, Ambulances 17 and 19 transported two patients to an area hospital for further evaluation. The scene was turned over to the Suffolk County Police Department for further investigation.
